Sylvia was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia, and has lived in the United States for more than 30 years. She has lived in Olathe since 1993, is married, and has 4 children and 6 grandchildren. Pastor Sylvia is a United Methodist clergy member and holds a special appointment outside the local church for her work at Center of Grace. She enjoys reading, working in her flower garden and spending time in her hammock.
Operations Director
Jess is a dedicated leader who came back to serve at Center of Grace following a successful career in the corporate world. She is excited to leverage her experience to maximize operations at COG. She is incredibly passionate about the local community and meeting the needs of families. She lives in downtown Kansas City with her husband and two dogs. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her husband, reading, paddle boarding and boxing.
Financial Assistant
Betty returns to the Center of Grace team in an official capacity after leaving to serve full time at Grace United Methodist Church in 2012. Betty now manages the growing complexity of the finances at the Center of Grace. Betty enjoys organizing and helping people find what they need. Betty grew up in Mexico and currently lives in Olathe. She is married and has 4 beautiful daughters. When she isn’t busy with work or mom duties, she loves shopping and making crafts.
