Our mission is to offer a safe space of hospitality for all; attend to basic, health, and education needs; and provide opportunities to share, learn, and grow into self-sufficiency.
Our community is a diverse, unique blend of people from backgrounds spanning class, race, culture, and language. The Center of Grace sits in the heart of downtown Olathe, an ideal location for programs that benefit our whole community – from the most vulnerable in need of basic services, to those looking to bring self-sufficiency and stability to their lives. Inspired by our many community partnerships, our mission is to build relationships that lead to lasting change for our city.
The Center of Grace welcomes and serves everyone regardless of race, color, national origin, sexual orientation, age, religious beliefs or different ability.

“We are superheroes, and we’re going to save the world” – Janelle (Age 3.5)
Through the eyes of a child, every act of kindness looks like a superpower. And on October 24, our community proved that once again during the Grace & Gratitude Breakfast. A morning filled with music, stories, and shared purpose at the Center of Grace.
As the smooth notes of the TRINITY Jazz Ensemble filled the room and Carolina Cruz of KCTV5 guided us through the morning, guests were reminded that hope begins when ordinary people come together to do extraordinary things—offering nourishment, dignity, and a bridge to self-sufficiency for families in need.
Remember when we met our princess superhero doctor? How the bravery, wisdom and hope of a three and a half year old reminded us to pause and realize the power we have to make meaningful change in the world? Well, her father (a real life superhero is scrubs) has continued his journey.
We’re thrilled to share that shortly after the event, we learned that he is currently taking graduate CMA classes and is working full-time at the hospital. It’s a reminder that when compassion meets opportunity, hope takes root and lives are transformed.
From sponsors and donors who invested in hope, our volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, and the clients who inspire us—thank you. You made this morning of inspiration and impact possible. Every smile, every shared story, and every act of service stitched together a tapestry of compassion that defines Center of Grace.
Your commitment allows families to access food, clothing, education, and career pathways that change lives. You remind us that superheroes don’t wear capes and real change happens when ordinary people do extraordinary things.
The Grace & Gratitude Breakfast may be over, but the mission continues.
If you were moved by what you experienced—or if you couldn’t attend but still want to make a difference—you can continue your impact today by donating here.
Together, we can keep building bridges from hardship to hope—one act of kindness at a time.

Across our community, more families are facing food insecurity than ever before. Rising costs and limited access to resources mean that too many of our neighbors are struggling to put meals on the table.
At Center of Grace, our Food Pantry is seeing a record number of families seeking help — and we need your support to keep up with the growing need.
You can make a difference today: host a food drive, donate, or volunteer. Together, we can ensure every family in our community has access to nourishment, dignity, and hope.

At Center of Grace, we are committed to meeting basic needs, fostering education, and creating opportunities for self-sufficiency. In 2024, with the support of our incredible community, we served 30,000 individuals through our programs—including free clothing, food, hygiene items, education, and more.
Every number represents a life touched, a need met, and a step toward a stronger community. Thank you for being part of this impact! Together, we can continue to grow and serve even more in 2025.
